Cause analysis
Industrial chain: in September, the price of domestic caprylic acid rose by reversing the decline in August, mainly due to cost pulling and supply shortage. This month, most of the adipic acid manufacturers’ devices were normal, the operating rate was about 70%, and the overall market supply showed a tight pattern. In terms of adiponitrile, large international manufacturers have claimed that they have lost production capacity due to force majeure in the medium and long term, and the supply shortage has not improved. Due to the high dependence on imports of adiponitrile, most of the domestic PA66 production load was forced to decline.

Raw materials also strengthened, and PA66 cost side support was strong. In terms of industrial operating rate, affected by the shortage of adiponitrile, except Zhejiang Huafeng, the overall operating rate of PA66 industry is low. In addition, the arrival volume and inventory of major ports this month are both low, superimposing that extreme weather in some areas at home and abroad affects shipping, so it is difficult for imported materials to supplement the domestic supply gap in the short term. In terms of the demand of terminal enterprises, at present, it is in the traditional peak season, the demand of home appliance industry begins to rise, the seller’s mentality is strong, and the high offer is mainly firm.
Future forecast
Business analysts believe that the high spot price of PA66 rose in September. The raw material side has strengthened at the same time, and the shortage of adiponitrile has not been improved. The overall load of the polymerization plant is low due to the lack of raw materials. There are double benefits of the supply side and the cost side in the spot. In terms of demand, there is a certain amount of demand in the peak season in September, but buyers’ feedback on the rapidly rising supply of PA66 is general. At present, the price range of PA66 is high, and the wait-and-see atmosphere still exists. It is expected that PA66 will mainly operate at a high level in the near future.
